This beautiful flowering vine can easily cover an arbor or pergola to create a cool, shady place. Blooming in June on new growth, individual flowers are borne on long showy flower clusters and open as a lovely shade of dark lavender before fading. Producing an interesting seed pod in late summer, this vine has lovely multi-season interests and is more reliably cold hardy than other wisteria. This variety tends to be less aggressive than other wisteria, but still requires sturdy support structures, arbors, railings, or other tree trunks to twine on. Flowers will mature to persistent, fuzzy, seed pods that should be removed for additional blooming.
