Hardy Hibiscus, sometimes also referred to as Rose Mallow, produces a 2-5' tall, rounded, shrubby plant that becomes covered late summer in huge, 8-12" wide, dinner plate-sized flowers. It's an excellent perennial for adding late summer and early fall color to the landscape or containers. Hardy Hibiscus prefers to be planted in well-drained to moist, moderate to nutrient-rich soil. A truly special variety, 'Summerific Holy Grail' features incredibly dark, near-black foliage that holds deep red flowers 8-9" across from mid to late summer.
