Carolina Jessamine (sometimes called Carolina Jasmine) is a evergreen (semi-evergreen in northern areas) twining vine native to the southeastrn US. Fragrant flowers emerge in early spring. Leaves may turn yellow or purple in winter. 'Margarita' is more cold-hardy than the species, but below zone 7 will do best if protected from winter winds.
