This attractive, oval-shaped planter is filled with lettuce that's ready to be harvested and enjoyed, and it will replenish quickly to be enjoyed time and again throughout the season! 'Italian Mix' offers a specially selected variety blend of dark red and green leaves with unique edges and shapes, all growing together to provide you with clippings for a most colorful and delicious salad. Harvest leaves about 4 inches tall, leaving about 1 inch at the base to allow the plant to flush out again with fresh growth. Rinse and enjoy. Pro Tip: Select multiple bowls and alternate the timing of cuttings, so that one is always ready for harvest. Lettuce plants are considered to be cold crops, and so they do well growing outdoors in the cooler weather of spring and fall. Place in a sunny to part shade spot and maintain 1" of water once a week throughout the growing season. During the warmer months, offer additional shade to keep them as cool as possible. Feed with an organic, slow-release fertilizer per label instructions.
