In late summer and fall, 'Mardi Gras' produces numerous red and yellow, daisy-like flowers with fan-shaped drooping petals. Cut back in early June to reduce height and promote branching and more flowers. Deadheading will promote repeat blooming. Divide every few years to keep the plant vigorous. Does not tolerate dry soil. Avoid overfertilizing or plants will grow excessively tall and require staking. Pairs well with Russian Sage and Catmint.
