This is an award winning hybrid, Asian variety of witch hazel that produces a large, upright, vase-shaped shrub that produces ascending, spreading branches covered in bright yellow, fragrant flowers with thin, ribbon-like petals in late winter. Spring and summer foliage is medium green turning golden orange in the fall. Witch hazels possess excellent shade and moisture tolerance, working well in clay soil. They attract pollinators and songbirds, can help reduce erosion, and make attractive natural screens in woodland landscapes. Plant with Hydrangeas, azaleas, and ferns.
