Achillea spp.
Yarrow is a classic perennial and one of the best garden performers. It produces striking, green to silver grey, ferny, aromatic foliage with clustered corymb flowers. It's an awesome pollinator plant, excellent cut and dried flower, and has good deer resistance. The more you cut it, the more it produces. 'Moonshine' is a hybrid that offers the best blue-gray foliage frosted with silver highlights, produces dense sulfur-yellow flower heads, and does not spread. Plant in well-drained, average to dry soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once a week, for the first year. Lift and divide in spring or fall every 3 years.
