Tickseed 'Zagreb' 1 Gallon

Dependable and one of the best, long blooming performers in a sunny perennial garden. Similar to 'Moonbeam', but its daisy-like flowers are a deeper, golden hue and slightly larger. 'Zagreb's' foliage provides a soft, airy texture that is quite bushy combining nicely in shrub borders and low maintenance landscapes. Equally as attractive to the butterflies combined with Echinacea, Liatris, grasses, Salvia and yarrow. This variety may spread due to self-seeding and by rhizomes. Plant in well-drained to dry, nutrient rich to poor soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1-inch of water, once a week the first year. Use Plant-tone and Iron-tone in spring or at planting; apply Osmocote in summer after deadheading or shearing to encourage new blooms. Mulch 1-2 inches to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring or fall when necessary. Deadhead to reduce self-seeding.
