This beautiful, showy, annual lavender variety produces compact, aromatic, grey-green foliage covered with small, purple, spikey flowers that are topped by vivid, large, burgundy, flag-like petals. This annual lavender blooms all growing season, and can be transitioned indoors for the winter in northeast Ohio. An excellent container and bedding plant for sunny pollinator, fragrance or cutting gardens. A fragrant filler plant combined with sun loving Petunias and geraniums, or used as a mosquito repelling herb planted with mints, lemon grass and lemon thyme. Grow in sunny areas, well-drained, amended soil or containers. Feed with a slow-release fertilizer during the growing season per label instructions. Deadhead and trim as needed to maintain better blooming and a tidy habit. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
