Shrub roses are easy care rose types, free-blooming and gaining popularity as new and better varieties are developed. They are best known for their cold hardiness, disease resistance, vigorous growth, and bud and flower formation, and are well suited to both landscapes and container gardens. Kolorscape® Flamingo™ has prolific pink blooms and good disease resistance. Plant in well-drained, amended soil at least 2-3' apart. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water once a week the first year. Prune down to 6-12" in spring; blooms best on all new wood. Feed at least three times (full leaf, after first bloom, and in August) during the growing season with a slow release fertilizer. Follow label instructions. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
