Saskatoon Serviceberry is a multistemmed shrub or small tree that may form root suckers. White flowers appear in April before the leaves, and become small purple to black berries in June. Fruits are edible and tasty but birds will take them. Yellow fall color. 'Obelisk' maintains an upright form and fall color tends more orange.
