Ceanothus americanus
A compact, dense, rounded shrub . Flowers are tiny, clustered, fragrant, white, and bloom in late spring. Medium green leaves are gray and hairy beneath. Grows in dry to medium well-drained soils. Red roots go deep in the soil to endure dry periods, but make it difficult to transplant.
