Nasturtium 'Baby Orange' Quart

Nasturtium 'Baby Orange' Quart

Tropaeolum minus

A cute, compact, edible flower that produces sunny orange, 2 inch, cupped blossoms that remain upright all growing season over healthy blue-green, compact, edible foliage. Nasturtiums make an excellent edible companion plant for sunny vegetable gardens repelling white flies and spider mites, or a beautiful ornamental annual filler or spiller for mixed containers and hanging baskets. Plant with tomatoes to improve their flavor! Combine with Petunias, Verbena, and SunPatiens to attract pollinators. They make good cut flowers too. Grow in sunny to part shade areas, well-drained, evenly moist to slightly dry, amended soil or containers. Feed with a slow-release fertilizer during the growing season per label instructions. Deadhead or trim as needed to maintain better blooming and a tidy habit. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
