This small sized mounding evergreen is a compact version of the classic Mugo pine which boasts an attractive, low branching, flat-topped form covered in bundles of two, 1-3 inch long, bright green, pointy needles. A slow growing shrub that is extremely cold hardy, and very effective as a low hedge, winter interest in a rock garden, container or bank cover plant. Little to no pruning needed. Grow with potentilla, ninebark, and lilacs.
