A big, brawny, tough-as-nails fern sporting bright green fronds and bold, broad leaves, the Macho Fern is perfect for large containers where it has room to flex its long 3-4' fronds. During the summer months, it can be placed outside to decorate shaded or partly-shaded front porches and patios. During the fall and winter months, it is brought indoors and should be placed in a space with bright light (no direct sun). Soil should be kept moist but not soggy. Watering is best once the top inch of potting mix has become dry. Fertilize at least twice per year, using an all-purpose houseplant fertilizer, as directed. Prune only to remove old fronds that turn brown. As an air purifier, cleans the air of VOCs, toluene, and xylene.
