Little Lady™ Lilac blooms in late spring when dark pink buds open to lilac pink fragrant flowers, contrasting against fresh green foliage. The mature size of 4-5 feet tall and wide makes this plant perfect for foundation plantings, but it can also be used en masse or as an informal hedge where you don't need a lot of height. Little Lady™ is incredibly cold hardy, thriving even in Zone 2. Plant in well-drained to moist, amended soil. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water once a week the first year. Prune in spring immediately after flowering to control size, and remove stray shoots or damaged limbs anytime. Feed early spring and mid-summer with a slow release fertilizer. Follow label instructions. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
