Lantana are fantastic annuals and tropical flowering plants that produce clusters of brightly colored tubular flowers over bushy, mounded to trailing, sweet-smelling foliage. They're tolerant of heat, humidity and drought, making them great for hot, sunny borders, containers, and window boxes. They feature excellent deer resistance while providing a wonderful source of nectar for the pollinators. Shamrock™ Butterscotch Glow is a tidy, medium-vigor variety featuring primrose yellow and golden centered flowers over well-branched, mounded, and uniform habits. Combine with other heat lovers like tropical Hibiscus, flowering Vinca, Celosia, and Ipomoea. Grow in sunny areas, well-drained, amended soil or containers. Feed with a slow-release fertilizer during the growing season per label instructions. Lantana are self-cleaning, but you can trim them as needed and remove green to black fruit (toxic) to maintain better blooming and a tidy habit. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
