Kalanchoe tomentosa Also known as Panda Plant, this slow-growing variety of Kalanchoe is an extremely popular houseplant that is easy to care for and also rather cute. It is a succulent in the Crassula family with pale-green leaves covered with grayish-white fuzz and chocolate brown edges or spots. Grow in bright, indirect lighting from an eastern or northern exposure window, or under fluorescent lighting. Prefers average to warm household temperatures, 65°-80°F. Let the soil dry out between water applications. Supply extra humidity by setting on a shallow tray of moistened pebbles. Feed with any multi-purpose fertilizer during the main growing season, April-September.
