Acer palmatum
'Butterfly' Japanese maple is an upright tree with a shrubby form that stays smaller than other upright Japanese maples. Leaves are often twisted, pale green with cream edges that are tinged pink when they emerge in the spring. White parts of the leaves turn red in fall. May scald in full sun.
