Impatiens, also known as Busy Lizzy, are popular, easy-to-grow, shade-appreciating plants that do a wonderful job of attracting butterflies. Their well-branched, bushy habits are also capable of filling front borders and container gardens quickly. Beacon® 'Violet Shades' offers high resistance to downy mildew. Plant in well-drained, moist, rich soil. Feed with a slow-release fertilizer per label instructions. Deadhead and trim as needed to encourage more blooms and to maintain a tidy habit. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
