Hosta A giant, blue-green beauty with large, corrugated, slug resistant, heart-shaped leaves and clusters of near-white, lavender touched flowers produced on 36" tall scapes in June and July. Looks gorgeous after rain when the droplets last on the foliage. Best in woodland gardens and containers with Brunnera, Cimicifuga, bleeding hearts and ferns. 24-36"h 48-60"w Bloom Time June-July. Care & Maintenance; Plant in well-drained to moist, nutrient rich soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once a week the first year. Use Plant-tone and Iron-tone in spring or at planting; apply Osmocote in summer. Deadhead spent flower stems for neat appearance. Mulch 1-2" to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring or fall when necessary.
