Honeycup is a southestern US shrub in the same family as blueberries and rhododendrons. It prefers acidic, well drained soils. It is a semi-evergreen upright shrub with powdery gray, waxy leaves, which turn reddish purple in autumn. Lily-of-the-Vally-like white flowers (but larger) with an anise scent appear in May-June.Slow growing, hardy USDA zones 6-9.
