Heucherella 'Sweet Tea' 2 gallon

Heucherella 'Sweet Tea' 2 gallon

Heucherella hybrida

Also known as Foamy Bells, this variety is a cross between Heuchera (Coral Bells) and Tiarella (Foam Flower) that produces eye-catching, deeply cut, palmate foliage in shades of bronze, orange, rosy pink and red with deep red-violet centers. This variety is topped with 27 inch tall, violet flower scapes and nectar rich white bells in June and July that the bees love. Possesses some native Heuchera villosa genetics that are naturally heat and humidity tolerant, developing its big, bold habit. This variety can be planted in the sun but best used in part shade borders, containers, foundations, or as a ground cover along with Hellebores and Brunnera. Plant in well-drained, moist to average, fertile soil amended with organic matter like compost or planting mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1 inch of water, once a week the first year. Fertilize in spring and again in summer with a slow release fertilizer following the package instructions. Cut back damaged foliage in spring and spent flower stems for a neat appearance. Mulch 1-2 inches to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring or fall when necessary.
