Groundcover roses are very low in maintenance with spreading, free-flowering habits and very good disease resistance. Drift? Roses are one of the most popular varieties in this class, a floriferous cross between full-size groundcover roses and miniatures. Sweet Drift® displays abundant clusters of clear pink, double flowers from spring until frost, each packed with up to 35 petals. Perfect for small gardens and combination planters, they brighten borders, fill empty spaces, and spread delicately around established plants. Plant in well-drained, amended soil at least 2-3' apart. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water once a week the first year. Prune down to uppermost new growth in early spring. Feed at least three times (full leaf, after first bloom, and in August) during the growing season with a slow release fertilizer. Follow label instructions. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
