Rosa spp. The Floribunda rose family is comprised of compact, bushy habits, covered in stems that produce a clustered bouquet of beautiful and fragrant rose blossoms. Shorter than hybrid tea types but with just as many color choices and fragrances. 'True Sincerity' has multicolored flowers with a mild, pleasant fragrance. Plant in well-drained, amended soil at least 2-3' apart. Water well after planting, and maintain 1" of water, once per week, for the first year. Prune down to uppermost new growth in early spring. Feed at least three times (full leaf, after first bloom, and in August) during the growing season with a slow-release fertilizer per label instructions. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect against the extremes of soil temperature. Deadhead and clean around the base of the plant as much as possible. Keep an insect and disease control product formulated for roses on hand. Wrap in burlap or spray with an anti-desiccant to protect from winter die-back, and mulch the base 4-6" in late November to protect the graft/bud union.
