Eucalyptus 'Silver Dollar' 8 inch

A very attractive, aromatic, annual fragrance herb that possesses round, silvery-blue leaves, the size of a silver dollar, that appear to be strung upon upright, slightly arching stems. Eucalyptus makes an excellent, easy maintenance "filler" plant in the cutting and fragrance garden or containers, and also in fresh or dried floral arrangements. It can be brought indoors for the winter as a houseplant too! Eucalyptus can have an allelopathic (inhibiting or stopping growth) effect on other plants, so growing it in a separate pot or keeping it distanced from roses and other ornamental plants is recommended. Plant in sunny, well-drained, average to dry soil or containers amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1 inch of water once a week throughout the growing season. Feed with a slow release fertilizer, following label instructions. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
