This dwarf evergreen is a broad mounding, rounded shrub with foliage that begins white and gradually turns mostly green, retaining a bit of white on the oldest needles. This variety is best planted in shady, sheltered locations in evenly moist, well-drained, amended soil with a 2-inch layer of mulch. Providing year-round interest in shady, wooded sites, plant it near slopes, rock walls, and with Astilbe, Clethra, and bleeding hearts.
