'Tangerine Beauty' is a vigorous, woody, climbing tendriled vine displays clusters of orange trumpet-shaped flowers in spring and then sporadically into fall. Evergreen in the southern US, leaves turn purple and drop in northern climates like Ohio. It's irresistable to hummingbirds and makes a superb covering for fences, arbors, or walls as a natural screen or windbreak. Native to Ohio, it can become a very aggressive grower, so do prune, dig, or spray to control as needed. Plant in well-drained to dry, nutrient-rich soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once a week, for the first year. Prune in late winter/early spring before new growth begins. Mulch 1-2" to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Plant in a container to discourage aggressive spreading.
