Coneflower Artisan™ Red Ombre 1 Gallon

Echinacea hybrida An exceptional, award winning, uniquely colored native coneflower that produces large, single blooms of red shades that soften as they mature. These coneflowers are born on uniform, well-branched, sturdy stems perfect for cutting. Literally a low maintenance coneflower, drought tolerant, needs no staking, very attractive to butterflies, and provides winter interest and seed for the birds. Plant in a moist but well-drained, nutrient rich soil amended with organic matter like compost and planting mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once a week the first year. Use slow release fertilizer in spring or at planting; reapply midsummer. Mulch 1-2" to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Plant alongside baby's breath, Coreopsis, gayfeather, and ornamental grasses.
