Easy to grow and modern in appearance, Chinese Money Plants, aka Pancake Plants, are very popular houseplants and also very easy to propagate. Native to China, the plants feature flat, round, coin-shaped leaves. Each lily pad-like leaf floats on its own dainty stem. Plants also take on a succulent quality in that they display tough waxy leaves, thick stems, and cope well with strong indirect and direct sunlight, plus they prefer to dry out between waterings. Grow in a standard all-purpose, well-draining houseplant potting soil mix, and feed monthly using a quality houseplant or cactus fertilizer. Re-pot about once each year, as these are fast-growing plants.
