A member of the vast succulent family and therefore an excellent choice for the novice gardener, Burro's Tail, also known as Donkey's Tail, produces long, sweeping stems arrayed with thick, fleshy green leaves. The plant thrives indoors in well-drained soil and bright sunlight. Heat and drought tolerant by definition as a succulent, the plant is well suited for forgetful owners who water infrequently. During the warm growing season, it is best to provide this plant with even moisture and to fertilize it with a cactus-style fertilizer. Divide and re-pot the plant every couple years to keep it fresh, healthy, and happy.
