Blueberry 'Elizabeth' 5 Gallon

'Elizabeth' produces mid season blueberries is easy to grow. It yields large blue fruit with sweet flavor. Its glossy green foliage then turns golden orange in fall. Plant with a mid season producer like 'Northland' for good cross-pollination. Plant in well-drained to moist, amended soil. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water once a week the first year. Little pruning is needed. Remove a few old, weak or crowded branches to the ground in late winter/early spring. Fertilize in early spring and mid-summer with Holly-tone. Follow label instructions. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature. Choose early, midseason, and late producers to extend your harvest.
