An All-American Selection and Fleuroselect award winner, this cheerful, native blanket flower produces large, 3" wide, bright yellow, daisy flowers over a neat, mounded habit that is vigorous and will not flop in the wind or rain. They flower continuously from early summer to fall with deadheading. Use in a pollinator or rock garden, or sunny front border with Salvia, tickseed and yarrow. Good container garden plant. They possess excellent tolerance to heat, drought, rabbits and deer. Plant in light, well-drained, nutrient rich to low fertility soil amended with organic matter like compost or planting mix. Intolerant of heavy clay. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once a week the first year. Fertilize in spring and again in summer after removing spent flower stems to encourage reblooming. Mulch 1-2" to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring when necessary. Propagation prohibited.
