The enormous flowering and foliage plant family of Begonias includes the easy to grow, showy, double flowering Tuberous varieties that grow best in hanging baskets and containers. This may include multicolored Rieger Begonias that prefer shadier spots outdoors or indoors. Flower colors vary from rich reds to pink shades, yellow, orange, bicolor and white. Grow in part shade to shady areas indoors and out, well-drained soil with average moisture. Feed regularly with a slow release, multipurpose fertilizer. Follow label instructions. Deadhead as needed to keep the plant tidy and blooming nicely. Mulch 2? to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
