Monarda didyma A delight in the garden for all pollinators, Bee Balm, or Monarda, puts on a show of mint-scented blossoms on sturdy, square stems. New varieties are resistant to mildew. The plant prefers moist soil, good air circulation, and looks great when planted with other cutting or cottage-style garden plants. 'Balmy Pink' features spiky pink blossoms that explode among well-branched foliage late spring to midsummer, earlier than other varieties. A care-free and strong grower, this plant should be given room to stretch. A rugged variety that is resistant to mildew disease.
