A delight in the garden for all pollinators, Bee Balm, or Monarda, puts on a show of mint-scented blossoms on sturdy, square stems. New varieties are resistant to mildew. The plant prefers moist soil, good air circulation, and looks great when planted with other cutting or cottage-style garden plants. 'Grand Parade' produces a profusion of lavender-purple flowers mid through late summer atop mid-sized, compact, upright plants. This cultivar has good mildew resistance.
