'Gitte' is a compact, mound-forming evergreen with twisted stems bearing dense sprays of scale-like, golden-yellow to yellow-green leaves. Discovered as a mutation of Chamaecyparis o. 0Tsatsumi Gold0 in the Netherlands. Excellent small specimen for the front of the border or rock garden. Native to Japan. An excellent evergreen specimen for year-round interest to use in rock gardens, beds or borders to bring a unique look to the landscape. Combine with azaleas and hydrangeas.
