Salvia nemorosa 'Adora Blue' Showy spikes of dark violet-blue along with sturdy, green, multi-branched stems gives this meadow sage a strong, compact habit. Its foliage is medium green, slightly rough, and very aromatic when rubbed. This meadow sage is one of the bluest, making it a beautiful cut and/or dried flower, and an excellent pollinator attractant along with Shasta daisies, Dianthus, Coreopsis, Echinacea and lilies. 12-30"h 12-18"w Bloom Time May-September. Care & Maintenance; Plant in well-drained to dry, average to rich soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once a week the first year. Use Plant-tone and Iron-tone in spring or at planting; apply Osmocote in summer. Shear spent flower spikes down to basal foliage to promote reblooming. Mulch 1-2" to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring when necessary.
