Dianthus Delilah™ Bicolor Purple 1 Gallon

Also known as Pinks, perennial dianthus plants typically produce low-growing mounds of silvery-blue, grass-like foliage and single/double flowers with fringed or spotted petals. Some newer varieties are extremely fragrant and will bloom repeatedly throughout the growing season. Pinks make for wonderful edging and groundcover plants in rock gardens and at the base of roses, or near other, taller perennials. Delilah™ Bicolor Purple displays frilly flowers early spring to autumn comprised of deep shades of magenta surrounded by soft lavender while also providing a wonderfully spicy, clove-like fragrance. Plant in well-drained, alkaline soil amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water, once a week, for the first year. Deadhead or shear, and fertilize, to encourage new blooms. Mulch 1-2" to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. Divide in spring when necessary.
