Blueberry 'Duke' 3 Gallon

This vigorous producer of early to mid season blueberries is easy to grow. It yields medium to large sized, light blue fruit with good, mild, tart flavor. Its glossy green foliage then turns golden orange in fall. Plant with a mid to late producer like 'Berkeley' for good cross-pollination. Plant in well-drained to moist, amended soil. Water well after planting; maintain 1" of water once a week the first year. Little pruning is needed. Remove a few old, weak or crowded branches to the ground in late winter/early spring. Fertilize in early spring and mid-summer with Holly-tone. Follow label instructions. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture and protect against extremes of soil temperature. Choose early, midseason, and late producers to extend your harvest.
