This extra large, sweet banana pepper variety produces bigger, meatier, 8 inch long by 1.25 inch, tapered, banana-shaped, chartreuse to golden yellow peppers that ripen to a deep, orange-red. Delicious and reliable in any color, its mild, sweet yet savory flavor is perfect for stuffing, salads, sauteing, or pickling. Peppers are great companions to tomatoes, basil, spinach, onions, and carrots. Plant in sunny, well-drained, nutrient rich soil or containers amended with organic matter. Water well after planting; maintain 1 inch of water, once a week throughout the growing season. Feed with a slow release fertilizer, following label instructions. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect against extremes of soil temperature.
