This is an early, high yielding, disease resistant F1 hybrid cucumber that is gynoecious, (bred to produce female flowers). It develops classic, straight, dark green, 8 inch long by 2.25 inch diameter fruit with cool white flesh that has superior crunch and flavor. It's delicious sliced, for making pickles, or in sandwiches. Its resistance to powdery mildew, scab, mosaic virus, and anthracnose add to its ease in home gardens and containers. Cucumbers are excellent garden companions to lettuce, beans, and strawberries. Plant in sunny, well-drained, nutrient-rich soil or containers amended with organic matter like Petitti Planting Mix. Water well after planting; maintain 1 inch of water once a week throughout the growing season. Feed with a slow release fertilizer, following label instructions. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect against extremes of soil temperature. Stake, cage, or trellis these vines for increased plant health and yields.
