Culantro 'Mexican Cilantro' 3.5 Inch

Culantro 'Mexican Cilantro' 3.5 Inch

Eryngium foetidum Similar in aroma and flavor to cilantro, Culantro is a different herb in that is features long, serrated leaves and looks a bit like long-leafed lettuce. It also has a stronger flavor than standard cilantro, and so can be added during cooking as opposed to afterward. Flavor will diminish nicely under heat. Often, recipes that are Caribbean, Central American, South American, or Asian in flavor will call for Culantro. If permitted to bolt, the plant will produce a blue flower. Plant this Mexican Cilantro in rich, moist, well-drained soil in a wam location.
