Rosa spp. The Grandiflora class is often placed with Hybrid Teas. They possess the same tall, bushy, upright habit and large, beautiful flowers, but they are formed in clusters on short cutting stems. Many colors and fragrances available. Sunshine Daydream™ displays large, fully double, pastel, buttecream yellow blooms that look dreamy on the plant's shrub-like habit. Use in the garden as a tall specimen rose, middle to back border accent, or in a cutting garden. Plant in well-drained, amended soil at least 2-3' apart. Water well after planting, and maintain 1" of water, once per week, for the first year. Prune down to uppermost new growth in early spring. Feed at least three times (full leaf, after first bloom, and in August) during the growing season with a slow-release fertilizer per label instructions. Mulch 2" to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect against the extremes of soil temperature. Deadhead and clean around the base of the plant as much as possible. Keep an insect and disease control product geared for roses on hand. Wrap in burlap or spray with an anti-desiccant to protect from winter die-back.
