A unique member of the Begonia family to grow as an indoor houseplant or a colorful foliage plant for shady containers outdoors. This cane type begonia produces large, olive green, angel wing shaped leaves spotted with bright white polka-dots. The underside of the foliage is a dark purple to bronze red. Small, incidental flowers are produced but it's often recommended to cut them in order to keep the plant's energy going toward leaf growth. Plant in peat-based potting mix and ensure pot drainage holes. Grow in part shade to shady areas outdoors and bright, indirect light indoors. Begonias prefer well-drained soil with average moisture. Feed regularly with a slow release, multipurpose fertilizer. Follow label instructions. No deadheading necessary, but helps keep the plant tidy and blooming nicely.
