Highly decorative houseplants, Chinese Evergreen possess leaves that are 10 inches long and 2-3 inches wide in shades of green, white, and pink variegation, depending on the variety. With a low, bushy habit, these indoor plants are best suited to dark corners, low-light areas, and in offices, so placement 8-10 feet from windows, in a dim room, or in low-fluorescent lighting is ideal. They are also a natural, easy-care air purifier. These plants prefer evenly moist to slightly dry soil, average household temperatures, and feeding April-September, as directed on packaging.
