A cold hardy peach tree that produces medium to large fruit with a deep peachy-red color on the outside, and sweet, juicy, freestone flesh on the inside. Good for eating fresh. It blooms fragrant, pink flowers in late spring, ripens in August, bearing high yields quickly in 2 to 4 years. This peach is self-fertile, but a better producer when planted in multiples. Originated in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1988.
