Dense, bushy evergreen shrubs with strong purple stems and spiny, blue-green, glossy foliage. One of the hardiest of hollies with a "true" holly appearance. This is a popular female variety producing attractive red berries. 'Blue Prince' is the perfect male pollinator. These hollies make superb, deer resistant choices for a specimen planting, foundations or low hedges. Evergreen foliage provides year-round interest and berries supply a winter food source for the birds. Plant with Red-twig Dogwood, Falsecypress, and Hydrangea.
