Kousa Dogwood Rosy Teacups® 10 Gallon

Kousa Dogwood Rosy Teacups® 10 Gallon

Cornus kousa x nuttallii

This showy Korean dogwood tree produces large, 3 to 4-inch wide, rose pink flowers attracting pollinators in late spring followed by 1-inch, edible, red fruit that songbirds enjoy. This variety develops an elegant, multi-stemmed, upright, spreading habit covered in glossy green, pointy, oval foliage that matures deep red in autumn. Its mottled to peeling gray bark adds winter interest. Plant in well-drained to moist, acidic to neutral, amended soil. Kousa dogwoods are generally more weather and disease resistant than Floridian Dogwoods, but this variety was bred to be even more tough with additional sun, drought, and disease tolerance! Use as a specimen, street tree, in woodland gardens, and in shrub borders with azaleas, Astilbe, and ferns.
