Korean dogwood trees possess an elegant, horizontal branching habit. They are covered in pointed, creamy white to blush flower bracts in late spring, and later form 1", spherical, red berries that the birds enjoy. 'Summer Gold' has variegated green foliage with yellow margins. Leaves turn red, orange and pink in fall, before dropping to uncover unique, exfoliating gray bark for winter interest. More weather and disease resistant than Flowering Dogwood, use as specimens, street trees, in woodland gardens, and in shrub borders.
